April Ross

April Ross is one of only a few female beach volleyball stars to win medals at multiple Olympics. Alix-Klineman is set to compete alongside April Ross Tokyo for her third gold medal over the next couple of days. In addition, Ross will be aiming for her very first Olympic gold. At 39 and has a long way to go, this could be her last chance. However, she is confident of achieving top honours. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that when the team performs well or at all they could win a gold. Also, I'll take the chance to have chance. Ross was born in California, Costa Mesa in the year 1982. Her parents and her sister were residents in the area. Ross played in numerous activities while at Newport Harbor High School. When she was a student in the prep school she played the indoor game of volleyball, as well as basketball as well as running track. She was definitely the best in the game of indoor volleyball. As a time at the high school level, according to her college biography she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. Gatorade Circle of Champions named her as the National Player 1999. Her volleyball skills also earned her the Orange County Athlete of the Awards in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play since 2017. But, Ross was a major player on the beach volleyball circuit before joining the duo. It's true that she has been able to win multiple events, and one was won by an iconic volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to the year 2013. Along together with Kessy, Ross won an Olympic Title in 2009 while competing internationally. The duo eventually captured a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team that was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, took them out to win the gold. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor after she had retired. The pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross was a player for the USC Trojans in college years after she graduated high school. Ross's playing time with the Trojans was amazing. In 2000, as a freshman Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 as well as NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. She was also one of the key players to help the Trojans to make it to their way to the Final Four. During her sophomore year she experienced a devastating personal setback but managed to be a second All-American. Through her last two years as a player, she led the Trojans to the summit winning consecutive national championships. She had established herself as an all-time great having won the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female collegiate volleyball player. Ross took a course in international relations at USC. Unfortunately Ross mom Margie did not get to see Ross's daughter reach the top levels of beach volleyball fame. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. However, she keeps her mother in her his heart. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her, both in and out of the water.
