Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman who is a businesswoman. She is the owner and director of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When she was in the year 1972, her parents broke up together and she felt lost. At 19 years old, she began working for the family's business as general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. She later set up her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers She was also the president of Great Western Forum. Buss and her five sisters took over his Lakers controlling ownership after the death of Buss' father in 2013. Each sister had the same voice. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotion company that is based in Los Angeles.
